Lida Fazli’s animation will be screened at the Competition for Short Films section of the Syrian event.
Seeking peace and avoiding war have been the subjects of many renowned artistic creations for long.
Fazli has contributed her part to this old tradition by ‘This Side, Other Side’.
The short title shows how the children of two opposite sides of a border cherish each other’s company, regardless of the fact that their countries are burning in the fire of a war that the adults have brought upon them.
The film has already been screened at various global events, including the Animage International film festival in Brazil, the Smile International Film Festival for Children & Youth in India, the ifva Awards in China, and the Termeh Iranian Cultural Festival in Germany.
The LELOUN International Short Film Festival accepts films from around the world and the winners will receive the designated awards.
The first edition of the Syrian event will be launched on September 21, 2020 in the Province of Afrin.
